Just a few words here before I go off to teach my bagpipe class. Actually, making another blog here was really just another excuse to post this wonderful picture that I took of some hosta gardens that my mom created at the farm in Halfway....it's not the at the edge of the world, but you can see it from there! Doesn't it look like the gateway into the realm of Middle Earth? It's where i grew up and learned to respect the power of the tick demiurges and the elemental forces of chiggers and poison-ivy. Well, i wasn't too susceptible to the power of the poison-ivy goddess. But, the demons of ticks and chiggers were enough to bring a poor hobbit to his furry knees. And at least it wasn't Texas.
